Commonwealth Games
The Commonwealth Games are like the Olympic Games, a multisport event which confront the community of nations in the Commonwealth. The first edition took place in 1930 as the Games of the British Empire. The competition changes its name became in 1954 the Games of the British Empire and Commonwealth Games and the British Commonwealth in 1970 and then to its present name in 1978.
The test program is comparable to the summer Olympics, but also includes some sports more specific as the Commonwealth Sevens, lawn Bowling (game) or Netball.
The four countries of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales) send their delegations and nations of the dependence of the British Crown as the Isle of Man and Jersey have also their own delegation.
Only six nations have participated in all editions: Canada, Australia, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales.
