La N F L (National Football League)
La National Football League est composée de deux conférences, l’American Football Conference (AFC) et la National Football Conference (NFC).
Chacune de ces conférences est composée de 15 équipes dans la NFC et 16 équipes dans l’AFC. Chaque équipe dispute un championnat à l’intérieur de sa ligue. A la fin de la saison ont lieu les play-offs. Les vainqueurs des play-offs des deux conférences s’affrontent depuis 1967 dans le Super Bowl qui a lieu le dernier dimanche de janvier ou le premier de février.
Le vainqueur reçoit le George Halas Trophy. George Halas a été le fondateur et le responsable des Chicago Bears.
