Pour fêter ses 100 ans, la NFL a mis en place un jury qui a élu, en novembre 2019, l'équipe du 100e anniversaire.
Le jury était composé d'un groupe d'experts, composé de représentants des médias, d'anciens joueurs, entraineurs et general-managers, de membres de la ligue. Elle a rendu hommage aux meilleurs joueurs des 100 premières années de la Ligue nationale de football. (NFL). Tom Brady
, Larry Fitzgerald, Rob Gronkowski et Adam Vinatieri étaient les seuls joueurs actifs lorsque l'équipe a été révélée. Bill Belichick
est le seul entraîneur-chef actif à avoir été sélectionné.
